
A village watchman was gunned down by unidentified perpetrators at Brgy. Mina-utok, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, Monday, November 29.
Killed was Rolando Bustillo, 50, of Brgy. Bug-ang, Toboso. He was also a former Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) member.
The victim was sitting in his tricycle that was parked inside the premises of the Victorias Sugar Cane Transloading Station when he was shot by one of the three suspects several times with an unknown firearm, a police report said.
He was brought to Calatrava District Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect fled towards the upper area of the barangay after the incident.
Police have yet to establish the motive for the killing.*
