
Wildlife conservation rules set for Mambukal reopening
When the Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental reopens more stringent wildlife conservation measures will be enforced, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Monday, November 22.The resort had been used as a healing center for COVID-19 hit provincial government employees and officials but with the drop in cases, it will be reopened as a resort for domestic tourists.The provincial government is working towards its reopening by December 1, Diaz said.The resort will be dedicated towards wildlife conservation, he said, pointing out that the flying fox bats have returned.Vehicles will not be allowed in the resort, he said.Burning that drives away important endemic wildlife will also not be allowed, Diaz said.They are studying whether grilling food at the res...
