
A 32-year-old woman was arrested while another suspect remains at large after authorities seized about P380,800 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region said the operation was conducted in Purok Katilingban, Brgy. Tanza, at around 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7.
Authorities identified the arrested suspect only by the alias “Kimberly,” 32, a resident of Bacolod City.
Another suspect, identified only as alias “Albert,” 37, also of Bacolod City, remains at large.
PDEA said operatives recovered 18 sachets containing about 56 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug value of P380,800.
Also seized were a belt bag, two coin purses, two mobile phones, an improvised tooter with suspected shabu residue, and a glass tube containing suspected marijuana oil.
The arrested suspect will face charges for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities are continuing follow-up operations to locate the remaining suspect.*
