Police arrested a high-value individual and seized more than ₱884,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok Paraiso, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 12.
The suspect was identified as alias “Janjan,” 23, single, unemployed, and a resident of the area.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office conducted the operation at around 2:48 p.m., which resulted in the arrest of the suspect for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Police said about 130 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P884,000 were confiscated during the operation.
Recovered items included a heat-sealed plastic sachet believed to be the buy-bust item, six heat-sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic bag containing suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, and other non-drug evidence.
The suspect is now under police custody while the seized items will undergo proper documentation and laboratory examination.*
