Dr. Paolo Leonoras Jaropillo was formally inducted as the 89th President of the Philippine Dental Association – Negros Occidental Chapter Inc. (PDA-NOC Inc.) during its 89th Chapter Anniversary, marking a historic shift in the organization’s leadership.
At 29 years old, Jaropillo becomes the youngest president to ever lead the provincial dental chapter. His inauguration also ends a 13-year streak of female leadership, making him the first male dentist to take the helm in over a decade.
Raised in an hacienda in Cadiz City, Jaropillo is the proud son of a farm laborer, a background that shaped his core values of hard work, humility, and dedication to service, a press release from PDA-NOC Inc. said.
Prior to assuming the chapter’s highest office, he ran for Cadiz City councilor but was unsuccessful. Rather than viewing the loss as a setback, he embraced it as part of a higher calling, reflecting that God perhaps had a different plan for him—not to serve only Cadiz, but to serve the entire province.
As the new president of PDA-NOC Inc., Jaropillo now leads the province’s dental community of more than 250 members with a commitment to strengthen partnerships, advance oral health programs, and bring quality dental care closer to every resident of Negros.
