A man was shot to death in his home at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Wednesday night, February 23.

Killed was 40-year-old Joenard Esquilla.

The victim was with his partner when two unidentified men barged into their home and shot him.

The perpetrators even told the victim’s partner to leave before he was shot.

Recovered from the scene were four empty shells of a .45 caliber firearm.

Lt. Jonito Pastrana, Police Station 2 commander, said they are looking at the love triangle angle as the motive for the killing.

This was because the victim’s partner was the former wife of an alleged drug personality who was arrested in September, he said. *
