CLMMRH creates Covid-19 critical care unit at West Tower

The whole sixth floor of the West Tower at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City has been converted into a critical care unit for COVID-19 patients, Dr. Julius Drilon, CLMMRH chief, said Friday, November 12.

This is because there are many more patients needing COVID-19 intensive care, he said.

The CCU on the 6th floor of the West Tower can accommodate 23 more critical patients, he said.

The hospital has 30 COVID-19 critical unit beds, he added.

Drilon said the hospital has added 47 Intensive Care Unit nurses, more doctors and support personnel.

CLMMRH can also accommodate critical patients if they choose to have private accommodations, Drilon added.*
