The Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center caught a fifth person using a fake vaccination card, EOC Executive Director Em Ang said Tuesday, December 14.
She said a Bago City resident went to the Bacolod EOC office at the MassKara Hall to ask for a vaccination certificate to travel.
The person presented a fake Bacolod vaccination card that was easily detected because the vaccine used was misspelled and the vaccinator’s name is non-existent, she said.
The case of the Bago resident was forwarded to the Bacolod City Legal Office for appropriate action, she said.
Earlier, four employees of a sugar mill from Sagay City were also caught using fake Bacolod vaccination cards, she said.
Ang said they are keeping a close watch on vaccination cards of persons entering the city during the holidays to ensure that they are not fake.*
