The Bacolod City Police Office deploys 427 personnel as they go on full alert for the 3-day Bacolaodiat Festival that kicks off Friday, February 9.

BCPO Spokesperson Lt. Ronnie Brillo said that these police personnel will be deployed at the festival sites and in the malls in Bacolod during the city’s celebration of the Chinese New Year.

They will also deploy more policemen outside of the festival sites to ensure peace and order, he added.

Brillo also said that they have coordinated with police stations outside of Bacolod City and will conduct checkpoints at the city’s boundaries.

Bacolod Councilor Jason Villarosa asked the commuting public for their understanding as congestion is expected along Lacson Street where the major Bacolaodiat activities will be held.*
