The Victorias City government has launched “The Victorias Hotel” and is also set to build a P55 million evacuation center at its Sidlak Victorias Global City, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said Monday, March 14.

The evacuation center funds will come from the Local Government Support Fund of the national government.

The master planning for the evacuation center that will also serve as a multi-purpose hall is underway and construction is expected to start in the second quarter of this year, he added.

The P600 million housing project of the city government will also be at the Sidlak Victorias Global City site in Barangay13, they are just finalizing the details of the project, he added.

It should start third or fourth quarter this year, he said.

The city government will also launched “The Victorias Hotel” on Sunday, March 12, ahead of its 25th Kadalag-an Festival celebration.

The construction of the City Hotel started in 2022 to augment the lack of accommodation facilities in Victorias City.

The Victorias Hotel will cater to local and foreign visitors, which will boost the tourist arrivals in Victorias City.

Benitez said actress and singer Sarah Geronimo and her husband Matteo Guidicelli and other performers have been invited to the Kadalag-an Festival set March 17 to 21.*
