Complaint filed at prosecutor’s office vs. man tagged in death of ‘Skittles’

A complaint was filed against a Bacolod resident who shot a Siberian Husky for violation of the Animal Welfare Act before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, March 13.

Named as respondent in the complaint is Dominador Bangero.

Witnesses had issued their sworn affidavits on Friday.

“Case filed…Our journey to fight (for) justice for skittles has just begun. There is no excuse for animal abuse,” Community Animal Rescue Efforts (CARE) Inc. said on its Facebook page on Monday.

Bangero allegedly shot the Siberian Husky named Skittles at Greenplains Subdivision in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, on February 20, the dog’s owner said earlier.

Skittles died due to punctured lungs.*
