Talisay teachers get help

The Talisay City government in Negros Occidental has began releasing P2.3 million for the subsidy, hardship and transportation allowances of all public elementary and secondary school teachers in the city.

Each teacher will receive P1,500, the Talisay Public Information Office announced Wednesday, November 11.

The distribution of allowances to the teachers started yesterday, November 10, with the first batch from Talisay Elementary School and Inocencio V. Ferrer Memorial School of Fisheries.

On Wednesday, teachers from Efigenio Enrica Lizares Memorial School, Rafael B. Lacson Memorial School and Bubog Elementary School received their allowances.

The distribution was facilitated by the City Local School Board Office staff.*
