Capitol photoNegros Occidental recently received 164,840 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Wednesday, December 15.The Negros Occidental provincial government did not accept AstraZeneca vaccines that are set to expire in December but received a large supply of Pfizer vaccines that have a shelf life until the end of January, he said.The provincial government asked not to be sent 10,500 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines that were supposed to be delivered December 7 because they are expiring this month, he said.However, the provincial government received 49,140 doses of Pfizer vaccines on December 7 with expiration dates at the end of January, Diaz said.The provincial government also received 35,000 doses of Moderna, 70,200 doses of Pfizer...

The bulk of the P65,000 bonus of each of the about 3,400 Negros Occidental employees and casuals are expected to be released by Monday, December 20.To be released are the P25,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus, P25,000 Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services and P5,000 Performance Based Incentive, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Wednesday, December 15.They are waiting for the Department of Budget and Management memorandum circular to release the P10,000 Service Recognition Incentive, but the funds for it are ready, he said.Legal prohibitions prevent them from granting job order and contract of service workers bonuses, he said.However, they can be granted a maximum gratuity pay of P3,000 each, which will also be released this Christmas, he said.*

The Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod City was reopened to persons of all ages for any purpose, including leisure, starting Monday, December 13.Gov.
