Eugenio Jose Lacson has approved the dismissal of an employee of the Negros Occidental Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) who was found guilty of administrative offenses of grave misconduct, vicious habits, disgraceful and immoral conduct, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service. Lacson approved the dismissal of Engineer Noel Barredo from the PEO from the service effective immediately, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Thursday, October 21. Murcia PNP photo Two drivers were killed after their motorcycles collided head on at Barangay Pandanon, Murcia, Negros Occidental, Sunday night, October 23. Killed were Romie Mallorca, 27, of Brgy. Bunga, Salvador Benedicto, and Agustin Ardeña, 21, of Brgy. Amayco, Murcia. Jobey Jamili, who rode at Mallorca’s motorcycle, sustained serious injuries. Staff Sargeant Ryan Bandiola, traffic investigator of the Murcia police, said that both motorcycles were travelling in opposite directions when Ardeña crossed the median and bumped into the oncoming traffic. The first Philippine Airlines special flight from Manila to the Bacolod-Silay International Airport for fully vaccinated individuals began Monday, October 18, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Tuesday. The provincial government has asked PAL not to sell tickets for the special flights online to enable Negrenses to have a chance to locally avail of the cheap rates being offered, he said. Fully vaccinated passengers on the special flights do not need to present negative RT-PCR test results, he said.
