The substitution of a candidate for councilor in Toboso, Negros Occidental, took place before the deadline Monday, November 15, ended.
Barangay Captain Efren Mandajoyan replaced Sangguniang Federation chair Paolo Villanueva who earlier filed his certificate of candidacy to run for councilor of Toboso, Mayor Richard Jaojoco announced on his Facebook page.
Villanueva is a member of the Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats.
Mandajoyan is supported by all of the barangay captains of Toboso, Jaojoco said.
Jaojoco’s wife, Madonnah Marañon Jaojoco (PDP Laban) is running for mayor against Evello Valencia (Nationalist People’s Coalition) in the 2022 polls.*
