The police arrested six suspects and seized an estimated P952,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Hacienda Bato, Brgy. Nanca, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14.
Arrested were alias “Runi”, 43, “Jino”, 25, “July”, 33, “Will”, 36, “JP”, 22, and a 17-year-old man, while alias “Mike”, remains at large, the police said.
The EB Magalona Police Station reported that the operation was conducted at around 5:27 p.m. by its Station Drug Enforcement Team.
Police said around 140 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated after the suspects allegedly handed a sachet of the drug to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for buy-bust money.
The suspects are residents of EB Magalona, Silay City, and Victorias City, the police said.
The police said a case for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the suspects who remain under police custody.*
