Rape, cybercrime raps eyed versus criminology students

The investigation of criminology students who allegedly took a video of a minor being molested by their companion has been forwarded to the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Bacolod City Police Office.

Capt. Glenn Montaño, Bacolod Police Station 2 commander, told DIGICAST NEGROS the minor filed a blotter report on Sunday, Dec. 10, of the incident that occurred Friday night, Dec. 8, at a restobar in Bacolod.

The 17-year-old girl was reported to have been molested at a restobar at 17th-Lacson Street is Bacolod, and the suspect’s companions took a video of the incident which was posted on social media.

The video showed four men laughing while they recorded the alleged molestation by their companion of the sleeping girl, who was reportedly drunk.

The video also showed that one of the boys was holding an object suspected to be drug paraphernalia, the police said.

Montaño said that rape charges could be be filed against the suspect, while those who recorded the incident and posted it on social media may face cybercrime raps.

He said that they have already forwarded the incident to the WCPD for them to file cases against the four individuals who were reported to be criminology students in one of the universities in Bacolod City.*
