A 50-year-old man was injured after he was hacked by his brother-in-law in Himamaylan City on Saturday afternoon, April 18.
The victim, identified as alias “Rene,” sustained multiple wounds after he was attacked by alias “Ronie,” his brother-in-law, in Sitio Lunao, Brgy. Mahalang.
Police investigation said the victim was carrying a container of water when the suspect suddenly approached and repeatedly hacked him.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident, bringing with him the bladed weapon used in the attack.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City for medical treatment.
Police said the incident is believed to be related to a longstanding family dispute.
The suspect remains at large.*
