
Sixteen police units, personnel, and partner stakeholders were recognized during the PNP Day 2026 Awarding Ceremony of the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region for exemplary service and contributions to public safety on Monday, Feb. 9.
The awarding ceremony was led by PRO-NIR Regional Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay and attended by the command group, regional staff, awardees, and police personnel.
Seven police units received institutional awards, led by the Bacolod City Police Office as Best City Police Office and the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office as Best Police Provincial Office.
Dumaguete City Police Station was named Best City Police Station, while Manjuyod Municipal Police Station of Negros Oriental and Maria Municipal Police Station of Siquijor were recognized as Best Municipal Police Stations in their respective classes.
The 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office and the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company were also cited as the region’s best mobile force units.
Two partner stakeholders were honored, with Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria recognized as Outstanding Local Government Unit awardee and Emmanuel Loplop of Bacolod City named Outstanding NGO awardee.

Seven individual police and non-uniformed personnel received personal awards for excellence in administration and operations across commissioned, non-commissioned, and supervisory levels.
LtCol. Mark Anthony D. Darroca of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office was named Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration, while LtCol. Joeson Parallag of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office received the same award for Operations.
EMSgt. Joanna Duran and SMSgt, Zenaida Moya of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office were recognized as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officers for Administration and Operations, respectively.
SSgt. Marlone Boletin of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and SSg Fermel Ventula of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office were named Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officers for Administration and Operations.
Rosalita Maria Tindoc of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office was recognized as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel at the supervisory level.
In a press release, PRO-NIR said the number of awardees reflects the collective efforts of police units, personnel, and community partners in strengthening peace, order, and public safety across the Negros Island Region.*
