Negros Occidental gubernatorial bet John Orola said Tuesday, November 16, that he is supporting presidential aspirant Senator Bong Go and vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte.
Go is running under the Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan (PDDS) party, while Duterte has joined the Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats.
Orola is running for governor under PDDS.
“Although we have not received any official instructions yet, the way it is being explained to me the candidate we will support for vice president will be Mayor Sara Duterte,” Orola said.
With Go and President Rodrigo Duterte, who is running for senator under PDDS, he will have a better fight for governor in the 2022 polls, he added.
Orola is running against Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson of the Nationalist People’s Coalition.
PDDS is in alliance with the PDP Laban Cusi wing, Orola said.*
