The New People’s Army (NPA) has claimed responsibility for the killing of a 52-year-old farmer, previously reported shot dead by an unidentified suspect in Sipalay City on Wednesday, April 22.
Police initially identified the victim as alias “Conrado,” a resident of Sitio Abo, Brgy. Manlucahoc, who was shot multiple times outside his residence at around 10 p.m. Wednesday
The Armando Sumayang Jr. Command of the New People (ASJC-NPA) said it carried out the killing and alleged that the victim had committed rape.
The NPA said the operation was part of its campaign to impose what it called “revolutionary justice”.*
