
A 37-year-old motorcycle rider died after crashing into a roadside burger stand in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, early Saturday morning, Aug. 15.
The San Carlos City police said the road incident happened at around 2:20 a.m. along Cebu Avenue near Landbank in Brgy. Palampas.
Police identified the victim only as “JR,” a resident of Cadiz City.
Investigation showed that the victim was driving a Suzuki Skydrive southbound when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a BigMak Burger stall.
The motorcycle overturned following the impact and sustained damage.
The rider suffered injuries to the head and other parts of his body.
Personnel of the San Carlos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office rushed him to the San Carlos City Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The doctor listed the cause of death as cardiac arrest secondary to traumatic brain injury.*
