A grade 12 student aims to inspire other teenagers to be themselves as she vies for the Miss Bacolod MassKara title at the University of Saint La Salle Coliseum on October 16.
Kyle Santillan, 18, a grade 12 STEM student from Rafael B. Lacson Memorial National High School, brings her advocacy on youth empowerment, especially on teenagers who experience insecurities during their puberty.
“My message to them is to be yourself. During my puberty, I experienced a lot of insecurities and I thank my family for believing in me that I can do better,” she said when asked about her message to teenagers going through their odd season.
Asked what smile she could give to herself, her family, and Bacolod, Santillan said the smile of encouragement, hope, and inspiration.
“I can give a smile of inspiration to my family and a smile of hope to the city of Bacolod as no matter what challenges, we can smile at those hardships we face”, she said.*
