Supporters of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. gathered in front of the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) and other parts of Negros Occidental on Sunday, November 7, to take Red Day photos as a show of support.
The supporters gathered to be part of the nationwide Red Day for Marcos, John Benneth of the BBM movement said.
They responded to a Facebook post calling on Marcos supporters nationwide to take selfies and photos and to post them with the hashtag – #BBMisMyPresident 2022, he said.
A BBM youth member sent a message in their group chat that there would be a gathering at the BCGC at 4 p.m. Sunday and when they arrived there were a lot of people in red, Benneth said.
Benneth said he is supporting Marcos because he wants the country’s commander-in-chief to be a male with experience.
Marcos is bright and capable of representing the Philippines, he said.
BBM supporters from other parts of Negros Occidental also posted photos of their groups.*
