
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the inauguration and turnover of the two-storey four-classroom building of Tortosa Elementary School in Brgy. Tortosa and the Balulan Bridge in Brgy. Punta Salong, Manapla, Thursday, December 2.
The governor was welcomed and assisted by Manapla Mayor Manuel Escalante III, Vice Mayor Edgar Pagayonan, SB Members, teachers and other local officials, a press release from the Capitol said.
The infrastructure projects were funded by the Provincial Government and officially turned over to the local government after its completion.
The teachers said the school building is a big help to the school as they prepare for the planned face to face classes in the months to come.
The local community thanked Lacson for the construction of the new Balulan Bridge, that is a gateway to the town’s coastal tourism attraction, the press release said.
Lacson said that infrastructure projects are a big help for the development of the communities. He also encouraged the local residents to get vaccinated against Covid-19 for the safety and protection of their families.
Also present in the activity were Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa, Fernan Obregon, head of Tortosa Elementary School, and Brgy. Capt. Reynaldo Barredo of Brgy. Punta Salong, among others.*
