Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is endorsing the candidacy of Negros Occidental Board Member Anthony Dennis “Anton” Occeño of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) for congressman of the 5th District of Negros Occidental.

Occeño is running against incumbent Rep. Emilio “Dino” Yulo of the Lakas-CMD.

Lacson is also supporting Isabela mayoral candidate Juan Miguel Montilla of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) who is running against Miguel Yulo (Lakas-CMD), the son of Rep. Yulo.

Lacson said he recently endorsed Occeño following the request of the South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., PFP and League of Provinces of the Philippines president.

In Himamaylan City, since the TOGA tandem of Raymund Tongson for mayor and Justin Gatuslao for vice mayor has split, they will have to win on their own strength, he said.

The United Negros Alliance will continue to support Tongson who is its member and Love Negros will support Gatuslao.*
