Senator Joseph Victor Ejercito, along with about 1,000 motorcycle riders, led a two-day Negros Loop 2024 to promote tourism in the island during the weekend.

“The intention is to promote tourism through motorcycle drives because the riders know where the hidden gems in the island are,” Ejercito said at a press conference in Bacolod City on Monday, Dec. 2.

“We enjoy the ride but also help the economy through tourism,” Ejercito said, because they promote the sites they discover on social media.

“Negros has many hidden treasures worth promoting,” Ejercito said.

It is a personal advocacy he has been promoting together with Jet Lee, the motorcycle tourism ambassador, he said.

They were joined by riders from Negros, Bohol, Iloilo, South Cotabato and Manila, he said.

Ejercito said his mother, former San Juan mayor Guia Gomez is from Negros, but he is still discovering many new sites in his rides through Negros.

The national convention of big bikers organized by the Thurderbugs led by Manuel Lamata will also be held in Negros Occidental in April next year , Ejercito added.*
