Driver, salesman lose P30,000 to robbers

A driver and a salesman of a cigarette distributor company lost their sales collection worth P30,000 to two motorcycle-riding suspects in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, on Saturday, October 1.

Maj. Joery Puerto, Police Station 8 chief, said the victims were at a sari-sari store with a client when the two robbers arrived and took the money and the backdoor key of their panel van.

Puerto said that footage from the closed circuit television showed that one of the suspects just took the money from the salesman’s pocket, and the victim was not able to react “due to nervousness”.

The CCTV footage showed that the suspects had no weapons, he added.

The police are still investigating the incident.*
