The Community Environment and Natural Resource Office in Bantayan Park, Bago City, Negros Occidental, will be closed to the public from Monday to Friday, October 25-29, for disinfection and COVID-19 contact tracing, Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya, CENRO Bago head, said Sunday, October 24.
A CENRO Bago employee died of suspected COVID-19, while two others tested positive, he said.
The 58-year-old unvaccinated female employee with comorbidities who died had symptoms of COVID-19 but was not swabbed before she was cremated, he said.
Test results released Sunday also showed that two CENRO Bago employees tested positive for COVID-19.
One is married to a frontliner, while the other one visited the wake of a relative who died from COVID-19, he said.
The rest of the CENRO Bago employees will be under home quarantine for a week while contact tracing is underway, he said.
Gerangaya said while their office is closed, their clients are advised to submit their requests and concerns via Facebook or email, or at the CENRO Liaison Office at Brgy. 13, Bacolod City.*
