The Philippine National Police's Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) in Negros Oriental has recovered five stolen vehicles in one day of intensified operations following the arrest of a suspected carnapper. Twenty transport workers face administrative sanctions after confirmatory tests validated positive drug results following a surprise "Oplan Harabas" operation conducted in Dumaguete City last week. Of the 193 workers screened during the January 29 operation, the confirmed cases include 14 truck drivers, one truck helper, one jeepney driver, three tricycle drivers, and one e-trike driver. Police recovered cartons of suspected illegal cigarettes worth an estimated P75,000 in Brgy.
