Alleged CPP-NPA leader, 2 sons surrender: Army

A member of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People Army and his two sons surrendered to the Philippine Army’s 11th Infantry Battalion and Philippine National Police, at Sitio Nahayag, Barangay Talalak, Sta Catalina, Negros Oriental, Sunday, October 17.

Lt. Col. Roderick Salayo, 11th IB Commanding Officer, identified the surrenderees as alias Kol/Reynald, Team Leader of South East Front (Dismantled), Komiteng Rehiyon-Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, and his sons as alias Emman, 23, and Junie, 20, both members of Yunit Militia, a press release from the Army said.

They surrendered one M-14 single bolt action rifle without markings with defaced serial number and subversive documents with high intelligence value, the press release said.*
