A grade 1 pupil allegedly drowned in a swimming pool in Brgy. RSB, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, February 9.
The 7-year-old boy was found dead by his uncle in the swimming pool, the police said.
Investigation revealed that the victim with his uncle, cousins, and friends went swimming at the pool.
The victim swam towards the deeper part of the swimming pool which resulted in his drowning, the report said.
The uncle of the victim noticed that he had drowned and immediately called for help.
The child was brought to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.*
