Four persons were injured after a Toyota Innova hit a parked truck in Barangay Linaon, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, late Tuesday night, March 24.
Police said the Toyota Innova driven by a 59-year-old man was traveling from Sipalay City toward Kabankalan City when it hit the rear of a 10-wheeler truck loaded with sugarcane.
Police investigation showed the truck was parked in the middle of the road without an early warning device.
Authorities said the driver of the Toyota Innova and his three passengers sustained injuries and were brought to the Cauayan District Hospital.
Police said the Toyota Innova sustained heavy damage to its front.
The truck driver is now under police custody.*
