A 3-year-old child died and her father was injured after their motorcycle hit a truck in Brgy. Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Friday night, Dec. 3.
The motorcycle driven by Romnick Esguerra, 33, of Sitio Bulad, Brgy. Quezon, hit the truck parked on the side of the road, the police reported.
The truck was initially parked on the roadside to gas up and the driver Allan Buscado, 42, placed an early warning device up.
However, there was no gas available so the driver removed the early warning device to continue driving when the motorcycle suddenly hit its back, the police said.
The victims were brought to a hospital but the 3-year-old child was declared dead on arrival, while the father is still undergoing treatment.
The family of the victims has yet to decide on whether to file a case against the driver or agree to a settlement, the police said.*
