The power rates of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) and Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) for December have slightly decreased.
CENECO’s average residential rate for December is P16.2006/kwh, a decrease by P0.0966/kWh, from last month’s rate of P16.2972/kWh, its acting general manager Vic Alvaro said.
The P0.0966/kWh rate decrease is attributed to the total net reduction in generation charges by 1.19 percent because of the decrease in CENECO’s power supplier price as well as a decline in fuel cost, and a drop in other pass-through charges, he said.
NOCECO electricity rates also decreased by P0.6248/kwh because of lower generation rates, its general manager Ray Bustamante said.
The NOCECO rate for December is P17.4373/kwh from P18.0621/kwh in November, he said.*
