The Police Regional Office-6 (PRO 6) seized P31 million in drugs in Western Visayas in the first 15 days of May.
Seized were 4.265 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P29 million and 20 kilograms of marijuana worth P2.4 million, the PRO 6 reported on Thursday, May 30.
They were recovered in 130 police operations that led to the arrest of 160 persons in Western Visayas.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office had the highest number of arrests with 57 followed by the Iloilo PPO with 29.
The Iloilo City Police Office arrested 28, Bacolod CPO – 20, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 – 11, Capiz PPO – 6, Aklan PPO – 5, Guimaras PPO – 3, and Antique PPO – 1.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 had the highest drug haul with about 1, 849 grams of shabu confiscated, estimated at P12.5 million.*
