The police arrested a high-value drug target and seized a gun and suspected shabu worth P426,000 in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Prosperidad, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, May 28.
The police identified the suspect only as alias “Lito”, 43.
Seized from him were 62 grams of suspected shabu, and a .45 caliber firearm with one magazine and two live cartridges, the police said.
BGen. Jack Wanky, Western Visayas police regional director, said that the arrest of the suspect should serve as a stern warning to those who still engage in the illegal drug trade.
If you opt to continue your unlawful acts, soon you will be behind bars,” he said.
The suspect will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, the police said.*
