Two men hacked each other to death in Purok 4, Brgy. Masaling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Sunday night, May 26.
The police withheld the names of the fatalities who were aged 42 and 35 years old.
Police investigation revealed that the suspect and the brother-in-law of the victim had a heated argument in the middle of a drinking session and later went home.
However, the suspect who was armed with a bolo went to the house of the victim’s brother-in-law and challenged him. The brother-in law was convinced by his wife to avoid the suspect.
But when the victim arrived he confronted the suspect and they ended up hacking each other, the police said.
They were brought to the Cauayan District Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.*
