A tricycle driver died after he fell on rift-rap stone blocks during a commotion in Sitio Bellesa, Brgy. Pinocutan, Calatrava town, Negros Occidental, midnight Monday, Nov. 27.
The 38-year-old man died after he and a 50-year-old farmer, who is his brother, lost their balance on the rip-rap that was almost four feet high, the police said.
The victim, who was allegedly intoxicated, went to the house of his brother.
The brother confronted the victim and suddenly grappled with him but they lost balance resulting in their falling.
The suspect incurred an injury on his back and the victim was left lying on the ground as they thought he was just sleeping due to drunkenness.
At about 10 a.m. victim was still lying on the ground and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management personnel went to the area to respond.
The victim was brought to the Calatrava Municipal Hospital where he declared dead due to cerebral concussion.*
