NBI takes action vs. intel officer for brandishing gun at restobar

The National Bureau of Investigation-Bacolod will impose disciplinary action on an intelligence officer who was caught on camera brandishing a firearm in a restobar along Lacson Street in Bacolod City.

On Friday, Nov. 24, an individual was caught on a CCTV camera holding a gun while she was looking for her jacket and phone. She was later discovered to be an intelligence officer of the NBI-Bacolod.

NBI-Bacolod Agent-in-Charge Renior Baldivino said the intelligence officer admitted the incident and was told to apologize to the owner of the establishment and those who were affected.

Baldivino said that they will initiate administrative action against the intelligence officer and are studying what possible cases can be filed against her.

The jacket and the phone the intelligence officer was looking for at the restobar turned out to have been left at the NBI office.

Baldovino assured that proper disciplinary action will be taken as the NBI does not tolerate incidents like that.*
