SP passes resolution honoring former BM

The Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution Tuesday, December 7, acknowledging the contributions of former board member and EB Magalona mayor David Lacson as a public servant.

The SP members also expressed their condolences to his family, Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer said.

He said a mass for Lacson will be held at the provincial Capitol on December 16.

Lacson, 46, who was hit with COVID-19 died on Friday, December 3.

Ferrer and his wife, Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer (Negros Occidental, 4th District), in a joint statement, said Lacson provided selfless service to his constituents from all walks of life.

He had the kindest heart filled with compassion and generosity for those in need, they said.

“He will be sorely missed as a fellow public servant and a friend”, they added.*
