The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod on Wednesday, Dec. 20, granted Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez authority to sign a Memoranda of Agreement between the city government and four funeral parlors for burial assistance for indigents.
The four funeral parlors are Abe Funeral Homes Inc., Funeraria Del Lourdes Inc., Chapel of the Chimes Gegato Abecia Funeral Homes Inc. and Purple Haven Funeral Homes.
Under the Burial Assistance Program of the Office of the Mayor, P10,000 will be allotted for a burial package that includes retrieval of the from a hospital, home or crime scene within Bacolod City, 7-day embalming, casket, and transportation of the deceased to the preferred interment location.*
