The Sangguniang Panlalawigan that is set to approve the P5.7 billion Negros Occidental budget for 2022 has made sure that COVID-19 response funds are in place, Vice Governor Jeffery Ferrer said Thursday, November 11.
The SP will approve the P5.7 billion budget on third and final reading during its regular session on Tuesday, November 16, Ferrer said on Wednesday.
The last budget they deliberated on this week was for the provincial government-run hospitals, he added.
They looked into the operations and funding of the province’s COVID-19 designated hospitals, Ferrer said.
The P5,719,337,346 budget will be sourced from local revenues totaling P329,000,000 and P5,390,337,346 from the National Tax Allotment.*
