SM Foundation opens 2025 college scholarship application

The SM Foundation provides avenues where scholars and alumni can connect and establish a strong network of support.*

SM Foundation, the social good arm of the SM Group, has opened its college scholarship program, with applications accepted until March 31, it announced on Sunday, Feb. 16.

The initiative aims to provide comprehensive educational support to qualified senior high school graduates nationwide,it said.

The scholarship package includes full tuition coverage, monthly stipends, and paid internship opportunities within the SM Group during semester breaks.

For academic year 2025-2026, the foundation will accept applications from public school graduates and eligible private school students who are DepEd voucher beneficiaries with Grade 10 completion from public schools.

The program has produced more than 4,000 graduates since its inception in 1993, focusing on key academic disciplines, including Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, and Education at partner colleges and universities across the Philippines, the press release said.

In Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, SM Foundation partner schools include Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod, University of St. La Salle, Technological University of the Philippines – Visayas, University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Bacolod City College, and National University – Bacolod.

The foundation’s college scholarship incorporates personal development, enrichment activities, and academic support. Scholars participate in workshops and team-building exercises designed to enhance their workplace readiness, the press release said.
