Talisay City mayoral candidate Samuel Siote and five bets for councilor under his ticket have joined the Liberal Party.
They signed their LP Certificates of Acceptance and Nomination at a press conference at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City Friday morning, Sept. 27.
The five candidates for councilor who joined the LP are councilors Jenry Clavecillas, Felipe Martin Angelo Lacson III, Remus Gulmatico, Stephen Siote and Jimmy Mariquit.
Running for vice mayor with Siote is Councilor Gab Villacin, who is a member of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Other candidates for councilor running with Siote are Bimbo Lavides, Zenia Astorga, Renel Garcia, Ging Mahandog Lewis and Emil Lopez Lizares.
JAVI SUPPORT
Siote said his team will support the 3rd District congressional bid of Victorias Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez (PFP) because they have seen the progress he has brought to Victorias in such a short time.
They do not expect anything in return, he said.
Siote said they have yet to discuss whom they will support for governor.
CHANGE
His team aims to bring change to Talisay City through the delivery of better health, education and basic services to its residents, Siote said.
If elected they aim to improve health services in Talisay by building a hospital on land that would be donated by the family of Councilor Gab Villacin, Siote said.
They also plan to provide vehicles to help students in remote areas get to school, Siote said.
The city government under his watch will go all out in providing education assistance, he said.
Siote, who said he will be a hands on mayor, added that they will ensure that basic services are brought to the people of Talisay City without their having to ask for it.
Siote will be running against Rowena Lizares, wife of incumbent Mayor Neil Lizares, in the 2025 polls.*
