The police arrested two Silaynons, including a government employee, and seized P81,600 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation at Brgy. 4, Silay City, Negros Occidental, Tuesday afternoon, February 20.
Arrested were Romeo Medreliño Dicto, 61, a high-value target, and Romeo Ibañez, 26, of Bonifacio Extension, Barangay 4, the police reported.
Dicto has been a long-time Silay City government employee who works as a street sweeper, Lt. Col. Mark Darroca, Silay Police chief, said.
Seized from the suspects were 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams, the police said.
The suspects are now detained at the Silay City Police Station and the recovered suspected drugs were brought to the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit 6 for examination”.*
