A severed hand was found in filling materials at a construction site in a subdivision at Purok Tongoy, Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, June 3.
The hand was found in filling materials from Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City, that arrived at the construction site on June 1, the police reported.
The backhoe operator said that while he was spreading and flattening the filling materials, he saw the hand but did not mind it thinking it was just a glove.
On Monday a driver arrived at the area to deliver a mini-roller on board a mini-dump truck.
After unloading the vehicle, he noticed that what looked like a glove was the right hand of a person.
The recovered hand was brought to a funeral home for cleaning, taking of fingerprints, and proper disposition.
The owner of the severed hand remains unidentified.*
