A school watchman died after three minors stabbed him while he was on his way to work at Purok Kalubian, Brgy. Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental, early Tuesday morning, Aug. 13.
Killed was Abner Lanosnia, 49, a watchman at a public high school in Silay, the police reported.
Investigation revealed that while the victim was riding his top-down tricycle going to work three minors, a female and two males, asked to hitch a ride.
Suddenly, one of the minors stabbed the victim on his chest without provocation.
The victim sought help and was brought to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City but was declared dead on arrival.
The two minors were apprehended by the responding policemen, while one is still at-large.
The minors are now detained at the Silay Police Station.*
