
Broadcaster Mark Salanga of Aksyon Radyo was elected the 89th president of the Negros Press Club on Saturday, Jan 18.
Salanga won with 91 votes over K5 broadcaster Eric Tenerife who garnered 51 votes during the election at the NPC building in Bacolod City.
Prime Tejida of RMN Bacolod was elected vice president with 90 votes versus opponent DYRL broadcaster Rey Siason who garnered 47 votes.
Elected secretary was Lourd John Diaz of Aksyon Radyo, treasurer – Nona Magbanua of Aksyon Radyo and auditor James Toga – Negros Daily Bulletin
Elected directors were Eden Aboso of Aksyon Radyo, Merlinda Pedrosa of Sunstar Bacolod, Nico Delfin of Digicast Negros, and Maureen Soliguen of FMR.
Salanga will succeed Erwin “Ambo” Delilan as NPC president.*
