SAF feeds 100 kids in Sagay

The Philippine National Police-Special Action Force 6th Special Action Battalion command based in Sagay City fed 100 children from 68 families during their “BarangaYanihan” in Brgy. Puey, recently.

“BarangayYanihan” is a feeding and gift giving activity under SAF CARES program was conducted to help those who need assistance through the support of both the private and the government sectors, a press release from Sagay City said.

Also, this is in line with SAF PNP’s nationwide community support development program through Executive Order 70 towards peace and progress, it said.

Police Lt. Col. Ryan Manongdo, Battalion Commander of 6SAB, said this is in line with the SAF PNP’s thrust of “strengthening the whole nation approach against criminality and terrorism.” He also thanked the sponsors and partners in this activity.

Sagay City Vice Mayor Narciso L. Javelosa Jr. said the only true victory is peace and development in the countryside especially in the far flung barangays. He thanked SAF PNP and commend them for this initiative.

Brgy. Puey Punong Barangay Leofer Cobrado II said he is grateful for everyone who went out of their way to reach out to the farthest community of the barangay.
